These particular works are exploring the idea of family. Family is something that has always been quite abstract to me. It has mostly felt like Something I once had and misplaced, leaving impressions that I have chosen to explore through this body of work, as well as 'Family Portraits'.

Self-Portraits as Ancestral Karma is an investigation into realizing how being part of a 'family' has affected me. They are an exploration of my own personal narrative seen through the eyes of 'family'. What has come before has very much affected me, like it or not.
